SCIENCE TEACHER 

Susan Nelson teaches honors and college-preparatory biology and anatomy and physiology, as well as microbiology. She holds a B.S. in Medical Technology and an M.S. in Biology and is an ASCP-certified medical technologist. Before entering education, Susan spent more than 20 years in a clinical laboratory, experience that enriches her teaching with meaningful medical applications. She has devoted all 25 years of her teaching career to SHA. Susan values an all-girls Catholic environment that helps students discover their strengths, build confidence, lead with compassion, and form a sisterhood that lasts well beyond graduation. She is grateful for the colleagues and students who continue to inspire her.
