Why Sacred Heart Academy?

The answer is simple -  SHA is where young women have the power and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Contrary to the claim that girls’ schools do not prepare girls for the “real world,” research continues to validate and quantify the advantages of single-sex education for girls over traditional co-educational settings. Our academic program is intentionally designed to support girls’ unique learning styles and provide the tools and experiences they need to thrive as students and community leaders.

The All-Girls Advantage

Research has consistently shown the advantages of girls' schools in comparison to co-ed learning environments. Graduates of all-girls schools have higher test scores, superior reading, advanced writing and science skills, more math and science college majors, more doctorates, and more graduates who pursue careers in math, science, and technology.

They exhibit higher self-confidence, a greater interest in leadership positions, and demonstrate stronger cultural competency and community involvement.

Graduates from all-girls' schools are more likely to become mentors and future leaders.

University professors often say they can identify a girls' school graduate based on her confidence & assertiveness

SHA is generous

“At Sacred Heart, love is shared through the large and small acts of generosity and kindness. These range from volunteering, giving back and donating to simply holding the door open for someone else in the hall.”
