SHA Represents at the Halo Awards!

June 7th, 2022

SHA Productions and Students Recognized at the Halo Awards

The 19th Annual Halo Awards took place on May 31, 2022 at Waterbury’s Palace Theater. The Halo Awards, sponsored by Seven Angels Theatre, recognize the best stage productions from more than 80 Connecticut high schools during the course of the school year.

Under the guidance of Director Mary Lee Delaney and Producer Kim Curbow, the annual musical lights up the legendary stage of the Shubert Theater in New Haven and this year was no different. This past December, more than 100 participating students put on a spectacular rendition of Holiday Inn, which was widely recognized in this year's Halo Awards.

The following students brought SHA home awards from the ceremony:
Cassidy Colantonio '25
Ariana Chavarria '24
Lorelai Natale '24
Sophia Mastriano '23
Adrianna Ramos '23
and our Excelsior Award Winner, Jenna Davis '22! Jenna also received a substantial scholarship for performance excellence.

Additionally, a Branford High School student won an award for his participation in SHA's musical and SHA student Cassanda Horn '23 won the best leading actress category for her work in the ND play, The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood

CONGRATULATIONS to all - you make us proud!

This fall, SHA will return to the Shubert Theater on November 18-19, 2022 for their performance of Disney's Descendants
