Talk at SHA Sponsored by the Science National Honor Society

September 22nd, 2021

On Wednesday, September 15th, the Science National Honor Society sponsored Shu Jiang, a UCONN graduate student in psychology, to give a talk to the Sacred Heart Academy community.

Shu Jiang spoke to an audience of over 50 students and faculty, discussing how to decide on a research project, how to structure the experiment, and how to analyze the data. Among the topics she covered were ethical consideration when identifying a topic, the importance of literature searches, and the difference between 'true' and 'quasi' experiments. The faculty and student attendees enjoyed the talk a great deal, and learned a lot that can be put to use in their classes. SNHS is very grateful to Ms. Jiang for speaking with us, and plan for her to be the first of several speakers this year.
