Honoring Our Legacies

Sacred Heart Academy’s annual Legacy Liturgy is a tradition beloved by our school and alumnae community. Each year we celebrate the gift that our legacy families share.
As Jen Prato’91, P’21 states, it is a gift “of not only an exceptional education but an experience steeped in tradition, encompassed by faith, and fostered by love and a strong sense of community and service.”
Sacred Heart Academy legacies represent the promise that these traditions and values are everlasting, and that they will continue to shape the lives of Excelsior women for generations to come.
To celebrate safely this year, we have adapted the Legacy Liturgy into a virtual prayer service to be shared on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The prayers service includes words from some of our current legacy families and nostalgic liturgical music selections that span the decades of First Friday SHA liturgies.
