How did SHA prepare you for college and beyond?
SHA prepared me for a college education as well as a professional career with opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom. Because of SHA, I had the rare opportunity to shadow a fellow alumna, Sheri Weidner ’91, at Viacom Media Networks during my senior year of high school. Sheri went above and beyond to introduce me to others across the company, which ultimately influenced my decision to pursue a career in Communications.

What advice would you give a SHA student today?
Appreciate and enjoy the time you get to spend at SHA. Being a part of the SHA community means so much more than receiving a stellar education. It teaches you to be strong, confident, and proud of your accomplishments. More importantly, SHA provides an opportunity to be part of a community of strong female leaders many years after graduation.

What is your favorite SHA memory?
One of my favorite SHA memories spans across all four years – Spirit Week. There’s nothing else like it. Period. I can’t fail to mention another favorite and perhaps the best memory of SHA, which was meeting my best friend Alyssa Goldrich on the first day of cheerleading practice with Coach Curbow.

Why do you stay connected and support SHA?
I stay connected because of the strong bonds formed during the four years at Sacred Heart Academy and beyond. SHA presents so many opportunities to stay connected and support the school, whether it’s through alumnae gatherings in New York City or alumnae night at the SHA musical. Support from Alumnae makes a difference in so many ways. It's a wonderful way to pay tribute the phenomenal teachers and ensure a bright future for SHA students to come.
