Sacred Heart Academy made a commitment to take measurable action towards advancing cultural competency around issues of race within our culture. Through many discussions with our students and alumnae of color and consulting with professionals in the DEI field, Sacred Heart Academy humbly announces that Pascha McTyson has been hired to lead Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives at our school.
Pascha McTyson is a higher education and development professional with more than 10 years in the field. With experience serving both state and private institutions she has lead the areas of staff & student development, event management, risk management and strategic planning. In her previous roles at Barnard College/Columbia University, New York University, Manhattanville College, University of Massachusetts Lowell and Shippensburg University, Pascha built her skills in advising, orientation programs, fraternity and sorority life, student center operations, social justice and multicultural education and leadership development programs.
A double Riverhawk, Pascha received her Masters in Regional Economic and Social Development and Bachelors of Liberal Arts and Music minor from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Pascha has been on the leadership and conference planning teams for regional and national organizations including the Education Advisory Group for the National Association of Campus Activities and International Programs for the Association of College Unions International. Pascha attended St. Raymond’s Elementary School and Cardinal Spellman HS in the Bronx.
