Members of Sacred Heart's Class of 2023 come from 27 towns in Connecticut and 41 feeder schools. The top five towns represented in the class are Hamden (16), New Haven (16), Branford (10), Cheshire (10), and Wallingford (10), and the most popular names in the class are Isabella, Katherine/Kathryn, Megan, and Sophia/Sofia.
This diverse and talented class is poised to make its mark at Sacred Heart. The class includes award winning artists, athletes, and scientists. They speak several languages and play a variety of musical instruments. The Class of 2023 boasts Bollywood dancers, black belts in karate, and athletic prowess with several students on premiere teams. Class members have donated many hours of community service.
And the Sacred Heart Academy legacy continues. Twelve class members have at least one sister who is a current student or graduate—19 sisters in all. Eight members of the class have mothers who are alumnae, and three have alumnae grandmothers. Three freshmen have both mother and grandmother legacy relationships.
“Sacred Heart legacy is again strongly represented in this class. We are always pleased to welcome daughters of our alumnae who want to continue the legacy of excellence cultivated over our 70 plus years,” said Director of Admission Elaine Lamboley ’60.
Our new students attended several events before they began classes to create a strong sense of community and to help them feel confident and comfortable. The Class of 2023 will be inducted into the Sacred Heart community at Freshman Commissioning on September 30.
We warmly welcome the Class of 2023 to the Sacred Heart family.
