Tuition & Aid

Typically the amount of tuition for the upcoming school year is determined in January. A $500 deposit and a completed re-enrollment contract start the payment process for the next year. The deposit is then deducted from the total tuition when a payment option is selected. The tuition for Sacred Heart Academy for the 2010–2011 school year is $10,600.

There are four tuition payment options:

OPTION 1: $500 Deposit has been paid. Balance due by June 1.

OPTION 2: $500 Deposit has been paid. 50% of balance due by June 1, 2010 and 50% due by July 1.

OPTION 3: $500 Deposit has been paid. 100% of balance paid via bank financing from June to March. A Loan Application must be received by NewAlliance Bank by March 1.

OPTION 4: $500 Deposit has been paid. Partial payment due by June 1, 2010 and remaining balance paid via bank financing from June to March. A Loan Application is due to NewAlliance by March 1.

Incoming families: The Enrollment Contract and tuition payment options will be discussed at the New Student Orientation on February 11.

Tuition includes most course and activity fees. All incoming freshmen are required to lease a wireless laptop computer of the school's designation. Books are ordered through Varsity Books. Uniforms are purchased through Dennis School Uniforms. Athletic clothing and bookstore supplies are available through the SHA campus bookstore.

We have changed uniform companies and will now be using Dennis School Uniforms located at 500 Post Road in Orange. Dennis is offering our students a special 15% discount from May 1 through May 29 for all in store purchases and orders. Our school code is: OR00SH.

Students may bring their lunch or purchase food in the school cafeteria. SHA offers a breakfast program, mid-morning breakfast snacks, and both hot and cold lunches.

Approximately 20 percent of the students at Sacred Heart Academy receive financial aid through the school’s endowment fund. Seventy named scholarships and scholarships from the endowment fund are available annually. Financial aid is based on both academics and need and is available to students during their four years at the academy. A student must be enrolled, $500 tuition deposit paid, for the 2010-2011 school year before an application for Financial Aid will be considered. Scholarship recipients are reviewed annually. Awards are based on need and number of requests.

You can access the financial aid application and read more about our financial aid mission on the Financial Aid Mission and Application page.
