Social networking is the latest trend in interpersonal online communication and has been an indispensable means for us to take the strong bonds that characterize SHA alumnae to a new level! Join us today and experience a new and stronger connection to the Academy and to all SHA alumnae.
SHA Online Community
A social network just for SHA Alumnae! Stay connected with your classmates and your alma mater. One of largest benefits of the online community is the Alumnae Directory, which allows you to search for fellow alumnae by name or class year. Additionally, you can find alumnae based on their school name (college or university), their profession, or industry.
Using the SHA Online Community (PDF) | View a step-by-step guide, complete with screen captures, on how to register and use our new online community.
Alumnae Facebook Group
Join our Alumnae group on Facebook! Reconnect with old classmates and almost 1,900 alumnae, share SHA experiences, and celebrate life beyond the Academy. As a closed group, this is the perfect setting for alumnae to connect more candidly with one another. Often, this is how Sr. Mariette Moan, ASCJ, ’77, Director of Alumnae Relations, communicates with alumnae about job openings, prayer requests, and SHA events and updates. All members of this group have posting access to post announcements of their own.
Alumnae YouTube Channel
Enjoy photo slideshows from your Reunion days, the inauguration of Sr. Sheila O’Neill, ASCJ, Ph.D. ’71 as the first president, and beloved traditions like the May Crowning. Keep up with current events at Sacred Heart such as the renowned biotechnology program and a video presentation honoring the Clelian charism that is the hallmark of our SHA community.
Alumnae LinkedIn Group
The SHA Alumnae group on LinkedIn allows users to connect with fellow alumnae that have profiles on the site. Once approved, you can start making connections. Groups allow users to start a discussion post or to post a poll, promotion, or job opening. As a contrast to Facebook, LinkedIn is better suited for fostering learning, thinking, and conversation. Alumnae that consider themselves job seekers or recruiters may very well find who or what they are looking for in this group!
